Knoxvillian Cinthia Stafford launches K-9 On Board book

signing at Barnes & Noble Booksellers on December 13, 2014

Knoxville, TN…  The adventures of three rambunctious German Shepherd puppies who live on a picturesque farm in the Woodlands are depicted in the new children’s book K-9 On Board Featuring The Rescue Pets Hooty, Rudy ‘n’ Tooty. Knoxville author Cinthia Diane Stafford will do a story time reading to children at 11:00 am, followed by a book signing at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 13th, 2014 at Barnes & Noble Booksellers on Kingston Pike. The purchase of each book also includes a CD.

Hooty, Rudy ‘n’ Tooty live a carefree life with their owner Farm Lady Cinthia in the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains. The story follows the pups and their pals as they celebrate “The Roasty of the Mosty,” an elaborate birthday party for Miss Bootzy-Wootzy.

All of the colorful animals have such fun together, but a terrible storm is brewing and none of them are prepared for what happens. Adversity teaches them how much they care about each other. Stafford weaves valuable life lessons throughout the children’s book and has an interactive preview at K-9OnBoard.com.

Stafford also hand painted the eighty vibrant illustrations and composed some of the music on the CD that she narrates. It took ten years to write the book, create the oil paintings, and develop the CD. All are copyrighted by her and published by Whirlwind Productions, in collaboration with Celtic Cat Publishing. The original paintings are for sale by visiting the General Store at theSnackinPatch.com.

A member of the Author’s Guild of Tennessee, Stafford is an aesthetician who founded Your Image in 1987. She specializes in Skin Resurfacing, Facial Toning and Clinical Skin Treatments for pre-op and post-op. A lifelong lover of animals and children, Stafford’s dream is to open the Door of Hope Children’s Learning Center. She will donate part of the proceeds from the book signing to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital (ETCH).

K-9 On Board Featuring The Rescue Pets Hooty, Rudy ‘n’ Tooty books will be available at the book signing at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Suburban Center, 8029 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. For more information, call 865-670-1727 or visit BN.com.
